Comission F.A.Q.

1. What are your Keyblades/Weapons made of?

I get this question very often ^^;

Okay, the core is mostly cardboard or wood (depending on the size). The body is Styrodur, which is a special kind of styrofoam, which I cut into the right shape. Then there are several layers of papier maché and sometimes wood flour.
The rest is mostly painting and varnish.

Oh, and of course love ;)

I've experimented with a lot of different ways to build a cosplay weapon and I found out that this one brings the most satisfying results. They are light, look good, are not against the law (some country's have a weapon replica law) and they are comfortable to hold.

2. Are you taking Commissions?

Yes, I am. Though there is a limited amount of commissions I can accept. This is because I try to have something of a real life, but mainly because it is
against the law to accept more than 10 commissions in my country.

I'm only taking cosplay accessory and prop commissions.
Like blades, helebards, guns etc.

I'm not sewing. I just don't think I'm good enough and there are plenty more skilled people out there.

3. How are your prices calculated?

I calculate the costs for the materials and the time and work I put in them.
So, for example, a Kingdom Keay is cheaper than an Oathkeeper.

I always try to make it as cheap as possible for you, as I know that cosplayers are not the richest people around. Though taking a long time to decide if you will pay or trying to lower the price is impolite in my eyes. Even if we're on the internet the basic laws of manners should be kept.

4. How about Shipping Costs?

Well, that's a bit of a problem. I am no professional seller, so I have to use the normal post office.
Some examples for the shipping costs:

United Kingdom: 17€
USA: 35€
Canada: 35€

(feel free to use google to calculate it in your country's currency)

Again, I'm very sorry about those costs, but I really can't do anything about them!

6. Some examples of my work:

And ome things I wanted to say...

:bulletblue: It is always very kind of you to ask me for a commission. I always take my time and calculate the price for the weapon, I look up the shipping costs to your country and I will often convert this into your currency for you (again: use google, it's just a two-click-thing).
So please, please be equally as kind and REPLY to that! I understand that some prices may scare you away, but it is just polite to say "Oh, I'm sorry, but I can't afford it" I'm a student, I know what it means to be short on money. And I won't chew your head off ;)

:bulletblue: All my weapons are handmade. I am not a machine, even if I try to make them as accurate as possible, mistakes are still possible and the colour can differ very much due to different computer settings.

:bulletblue: I very much prefer Paypal for payment

If you still have any questions or even requests you can note me anytime :)

ECG - Paris Here We Come!

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 18, 2013, 11:48 PM

The ECG, the European Cosplay Gathering, can be considered the European Cosplay Chmapionship (along with the EuroCosplay from the MCM Expo in London) where more than 10 European nations compete about the glory of the victory in a group and a single category.
The preliminaries for Germany are held at the Book Fair in Leipzig at the beginning of our German convention season.

Last year around May Sui and Cherry, my dearest friends from Munich, asked me if I'd like to join them in their team just that the three of us can finally cosplay something together.
I agreed happily and after some struggle  we could also find a cosplay plan that suited everyone of us perfectly.
We chose Small Lady ( :iconlilymilkshake: ), Helios ( :iconnaousuke: ) and Queen Nehelenia (moi) in an epic and dramatic performance with love, hatred, action, abuse and even maybe a tiny kiss.

I can say I never spent more money on a cosplay ^^;
And I also never spent more money on stage props.
And I never used more wigs on a cosplay than on this. After the 5th wig (I used a total of 7 wigs in one) I named her Ursula, because she reminded me so much of the little Mermaid's seawitch :D

Thanks to the help of Sekundenzeiger I got finished with the cosplay in time without too much nerve-breakdowns. My best buddies Ryo and :devLunaLuffer: helped us to prepare our stage props before the performance.

I was really nervous. As some of you know I'm not very musical, I even am a little tone-deaf. That my action on the timing of the music was dependant for our performance didn't really help much ^^; I was a wreck shortly before our skit.
And I turn around on stage, say my first sentence and notice CRAP! MY MICROPHONE IS OFF!!! :fear:
Thankfully I could speak loud enough that at least until the third row everybody understood me.
Well, shit happens :D

And our performance was a total success! We had worked on it since winter and the audiance showed all the emotions we wanted! It was shocked, awestruck and moved whenever we had planned it

But the real shocker for myself came not until some time later... I'd really hoped for the third place, but then the Jury announced there will be only one first place and a runner-up group to replace them in case something happens.
And oh gosh, I was already so relaxed because I knew it couldn't happen. My favourite group had put such a great scit from Howls Moving Castle on stage and I was very certain tehy'll be announced the winners...
but then...

WE WON!
WE WERE SELECTED TO REPRESENT OUR COUNTRY AT THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Now we're searching wide and low for good ideas for the finals! We're pretty sure we don't stand a chance against all those magnificent Cosplayers from Europe, but we plan to make it grand and big and to represent our country worthy!!!

  • Listening to: nothing
  • Reading: Bram Stoker's Dracula
  • Watching: Duck Tales
  • Playing: Crisis Core
  • Eating: nothing
  • Drinking: plain water from the tub
